We spend so much time discussing light, but shadow is equally important. Shadow defines form. Without it, a room is flat. We intentionally leave certain corners unlit, and we design deep alcoves that embrace darkness.
This creates a sense of mystery and intimacy, allowing a home to feel multifaceted depending on the time of day and the mood of the inhabitants.
